Simmons World Challenge: New Sustainability World

9780300136111

Diversity is important in biology, in the same way diversity in people and cultures needs to be valued.  And we don’t decide which cultures take precedent, in the same way we don’t tell ecological systems to “Scrap the snails this year!”

Here it is! The final blog for Simmons World Challenge before the program begins tomorrow! This is a brief discussion of James Gustave Speth’s The Bridge at the Edge of the World, in combination with some thoughts on Daniel Quinn’s (author of Ishmael) ideas, expressed in his books. More environmentalism, enjoy!
